Most of the self-help books I read say that those who write their goals have a greater chance of fulfilling them, sort of like a self-fulfilling prophecy. Just one thing though. Maybe you could make your goals more specific, positive and in the present participle tense (with -ing), with an emotion attached (read this is a book and tried it. it works) ... I am happily weighing (insert desired weight here) by (desired date)... or I am gratefully saving 10% of my income monthly for my future. Happy New Year... At least you wrote down your goals.
