I like movies that make me *think* that’s why I enjoyed this one.
<----- heey i like movies that make me think too (American beauty, matrix :P) just not this one. basta. OA lang masyado. hahah

ok...still don't get it. assuming it's a 1 level dream (let's forget the fact that in a 1 level dream, you die = you wake up).. in order to wake up, you just kick the person while dreaming and he will wake up. no need for that person to jump(or get a kick) IN THE DREAM in order to wake up.

This is what I don't get. on 4th dream, they don't really need to jump because the kick on the 3rd dream will wake them up, and thus pull them from the 4th dream.

am i making sense? because these 2 parts so movie sa tuod2x lang doesn't make sense! =))

Hahaha! ikaw lang guro ang nakahambal nga wala ka nanamian sa Inception. :)) I like movies that make me *think* that's why I enjoyed this one. I'll try to answer your questions according sa pagka-inchindi ko ha, hehehe.

1) The way I understand it, if they got "killed" in a dream level, they go down another level and get stuck there in "limbo". They need to remember that they're just in a dream, so when they finally wake up (4 levels up) they would remember everything. Mal (Cobb's projection) took Fischer because in Cobb's subconscious his wife is always trying to get him to stay with her in his dream. He can't control his subconscious, so he can't control his projection. Mal wanted to take away Cobb's attention from Fischer (so Cobb could stay with her) which is why she "took" him?? Killing Mal, Cobb's projection, is probably a symbolic thing so she'd finally disappear from Cobb's subconscious, so he can finally move on and decide to be with his kids up above. They needed to "kick" Fischer in the 4th dream, so he can get a jolt and wake up in the 3rd dream. (He didn't die when Mal shot him in the 3rd dream, na-unconscious lang. )

Wait, I found this explanation somewhere:

<strong>Fischer was not killed in the third stage when Mal shot him. He was wounded badly and unconscious, and dying, but not quite dead, not yet. A similar thing happened with Saito in the first stage, and they were able to keep him alive longer by putting him into a deeper sleep state.

After Fischer was shot, they initiated another dream stage, created by Cobb. They use this stage to help Fischer stay alive longer while they get the defibrillator to revive him. Cobb, Ariadne, and Fischer are hooked into the machine for this stage. This stage resembled the limbo Cobb and Mal once lived in for 50 years. This was not actually limbo, but a dream state generated by Cobb to resemble his limbo. This way, he would know exactly where Mal was, and by proximity, where Fischer was, to make sure he is safe. Fischer gets kicked back to the third stage due to being shocked by the defibrillator, allowing time for him to open the safe and read the will before being kicked back to the first stage. Cobb also uses the fourth stage to get closure with Mal by explaining how he used inception on her, and she stabs him."</strong>

Hmm, "probably". haha.

2) To wake up from dreaming in one level, they need to get "kicked" from one level down. So when Fischer and Ariadne jumped from the building in the 4th dream, they woke up in the 3rd dream just in time for them to get "kicked" in the 3rd dream to wake up in the 2nd dream, and so on. Super timing lang siguro.. maybe just a split second? Cos diba 1 hour in the conscious state, means 1 year in the first dream level. So for four dream levels down, the time is actually longer compared to the previous dream level.

LOL okay, you got me thinking there. :))

Was reading this article for explanations, maybe it can help hehehe

waah joni, i don't like inception. siguro because the critics hyped it too much as BRILLIANT and INTELLECTUAL, MIND BOGGLING. basta...didn't like it. at the end of the movie, i just don't care and i was just glad the movie's ended. hahahha. damo bala daw sala na scenes. sige b try mo answer haha

1) why do they need to go to a 4th dream? sang ara na sila sa snow-mountain area, and Mal shot Fischer, nga-a nagkadto pa si Leo and Ellen sa isa ka dream to KILL Mal and get Fischer???

2) why do they need a kick IN and OUTSIDE the dream? like sa 4th dream, why did Ellen and Fischer have to jump (for their kick) to get out of the dream, when the other guy already bombed the bldg (snow-mountain scene) so that they will drop (kick) and wake up??? geeez.

daw trying hard na movie. lol
